For this Hawaii hotel renovation, the hotel operator contacted Baotian directly to update guest-room furniture for a more flexible family-travel layout. With compact rooms and a strong share of small-family leisure guests, the project replaced a conventional sofa arrangement with a custom sofa bed solution designed to add sleeping capacity without changing the room’s overall function.

Project Brief: More Sleep Capacity in a Limited Guest-Room Footprint
The client provided reference images for both the sofa bed and the bed frame, then asked us to manufacture the pieces as an OEM project. The challenge was to preserve a clean hospitality look while making better use of a limited room footprint. The sofa bed needed to work as comfortable daytime seating and provide an additional sleeping surface for family stays.

Key Project Requirements
Space-efficient guest-room planning
The renovation required a sofa bed rather than a standard sofa so the room could better accommodate small families. This increased functional sleeping capacity while maintaining a hospitality-oriented guest-room layout.
OEM production from client references
The sofa and bed-frame designs were developed from reference images supplied by the hotel client. Before production, the project required review of the approved configuration, dimensions, upholstery details, materials and construction requirements.
Responsible wood-material requirement
The client required environmentally responsible wood materials for the project. Material selection and related documentation were handled against the approved project specification; final documentation is provided according to the agreed order scope and destination requirements.
California fire-performance requirement
The upholstery and construction requirements were specified to meet the applicable California fire-performance standard required by the client. Compliance must always be confirmed against the final approved materials, construction and test/documentation scope before production and shipment.
Leggett & Platt sofa-bed mechanism
For the sofa bed, the hotel specified a high-standard mechanism from Leggett & Platt, a U.S. brand. The selected mechanism was incorporated into the custom OEM sofa-bed construction so the product could meet the project’s functional requirement for reliable guest-room conversion.
Production, Inspection and Shipment
Baotian coordinated the custom manufacturing sequence from reference review through production inspection and container loading. The project materials include production and inspection records, container-loading documentation, and hotel-site images provided after installation. These records demonstrate the progression from factory production to delivered guest-room use.

Result
