A bed frame has to work with more than a mattress. The procurement specification should reconcile room drawings, mattress dimensions, headboard and wall interfaces, bedside tables, skirting, electrical points, housekeeping access, legs or plinths, and the route from loading area to room. These decisions influence both the finished appearance and the time required for installation.
Documents to request before approval
- Submit a dimensioned drawing showing the overall footprint, mattress recess or support area, headboard connection, leg or base position, and the assembly sequence.
